I am a Kelowna local who has always had a passion for the arts. Art by D'Elvac is my personal art business where I share my creative endeavors with the world (or at least at the local markets)
A bit about me
In June of 2024 I attended my first market. I have since received nothing short of overwhelming support from my community.
Philosophy
My philosophy for jewelry is that it should be durable and able to withstand everyday wear. I wear my jewelry with confidence to the gym, to sleep, and in the shower. Waiting for the right day to wear a cute accessory often means it never gets worn, why not wear it everyday instead?
For art, I have a very similar approach. I believe we should surround ourselves with real art*. I mean original works of art - handmade items. Not just mass produced copies, or art spat out to fill the aisles of Winners, and certainly not AI crap. Real art. The type of art that if you look closely you can see the brushstrokes. I realize that original works of art are often too expensive or inaccessible for most people. I strive to produce work that is fun, original, and affordable.
